About Me

I am an AI researcher focusing on safety and interpretability, but with a broad interest in AI more generally. I believe that AI will change the world in ways both good and bad, and there’s a lot of value in nudging it in the right direction.

I received a PhD in theoretical physics from Harvard in 2022, under the sage tutelage of Andy Strominger. Before that I received a bachelor’s degree in physics from Caltech in 2016, and before that I was a curious kid.

My interests outside of research include sports, guitar, music, concerts, cooking, craft beer, reading, and hanging out with friends and loved ones.
